Rude Awakenings.

If you have noticed I haven't been blogging as frequently as usual. As I previously mentioned my wisdom teeth removal recovery took a bigger toll on me than expected. I want to take time to write about how I've benefited from the not-so-pleasant experience ...

I've been feeling pretty crummy for the past 2-3 weeks, which is my crummy excuse for not keeping up with blogging. As I mentioned before I was unable to visit some of the colleges I planned on seeing. This isn't a huge issue because I can always make time to see them again, but because of this I decided to visit my friend at her school.

At first I wasn't extremely interested in Brandeis University but my guidance counselor simply encouraged me to be exposed to any and every school. I didn't attend any classes but I spent time with her friends and saw some of the social scene and atmosphere of Brandeis.

The whole experience exceeded my expectations. the freshmen dorm was bigger than at other schools. The campus had a great feeling. There was a great scene in Waltham, not a big crazy city, but alot of stuff going on. The people there were extremely down to earth, honest, and relatable.

With this unexpected experience I realized more specifics that I want in a school. I know look forward to visiting more schools. My little excursion made me realize that despite all bad things that happen, or unexpected surprises, you need can make the best of any situation.
